ADELAIDE FILM FESTIVAL, MARKETING DIRECTOR
The Adelaide Film festival celebrates the moving image – the ideas and artists that animate the multiple screens in our lives. Every 2 years, over 11 days, cinema lovers can immerse themselves in feature films, documentaries, shorts, animations and new media works – in cinemas, galleries and on the city streets.
As Marketing Director, I was responsible for branding, identity, strategy, sponsorship, and ultimately, box office results. Joining the team in only its second incarnation, I repositioned the brand from 'festival for intelectual film buffs' to 'anyone who loves watching movies' resulting in a huge increase in box office results in year one, and picking up and IF Award in the process.
The iconic film festival eye character concept was so successful in 2007, they are now associated with being the Film Festival mascot.
